Mix Match

Obsessed this season with tabletop…I know right? Who knew that dinnerware would become a fashion statement of mix and match!

Let’s face it, as of late we are all foodies, loving to cook, taste and create in the kitchen (or make reservations) regardless, the top of the table has never looked more creative due to pattern mixing.

We are seeing this at all levels of the market from high end like Hermes to more mass appeal at stores like Habitat, noted today in the U.K.!

Metallic rims and color application are continuing at the high end especially when paired with tones of blues. In many cases, patterns seem to be a bit imperfect and irregular giving the designs a more artisan vibe.

When your dinnerware patterns become the main focus of your table we tend to see more solid table linens trending due to the mix and match pattern approach.

Since texture (yes that T word) has been an area of focus in home products for many seasons, we are seeing linens with textured slubs or even printed textures trending.

Below are a few of my favorite finds from Hermes, Harrods, and Habitat…hoping to scope out a few more in London tomorrow before I head to Amsterdam on Thursday!

Continuing my crazy 4 city trip in 8 days.
